I had fun creating this knight’s helmet hat for my brother (modeled here by my husband). It keeps his face warm while biking to work this winter. The pattern makes all sizes (visor is fixed in the upward position for infants and little ones for safety). Prices are as follows: Baby – $20/Toddler – $25/Child – $30/Adult – $35
I’m starting off the new year with a new project. My oldest daughter had a visit with the orthodontist and we’re pretty sure there are braces in her future. Braces, as I’m sure most of you know, are not cheap. While we have some dental coverage, it’s not enough. So I’ve decided to put my crocheting skills to use and I’m making hats (everything from basic beanies to fancy animal designs) to help raise money to give my daughter the smile she deserves!
I’m happy to take on custom orders and can work in a hurry. Let’s make winter fun and fashionable!
I’ve finished a new hat that I’m adding to my product list. I’m absolutely in love with how adorable it is! What do you think?
I’m trying to make as many as I can before the weekend so they’ll be available at the Wolfville Farmers’ Market at the Cape View Farms table. Orders are always welcome!
I am so excited about my latest scarf. I just finished it about half an hour ago (my wrists are glad) and I’m so pleased with how it turned out (the photos do not do it justice). I wanted to try the new Lion Brand Bonbons Yarn. I picked up a package called Celebrate (all metallic colours) and used one of their patterns and here is the most awesome scarf ever. I should note that this yarn is a fine weight yarn (think baby fine) and the scarf is approximately 65″ long. Of course, it is for sale, though I’m already planning to make another for myself! Please let me know if you’re interested in this beauty!
Okay, I admit it, I have not done a good job keeping my website up-to-date. I have been so busy crocheting kids’ hats lately (amongst other things) that I haven’t stopped to take the time to keep you all in the loop. My apologies! I will add some photos of items I’ve been making under the crochet section so you can check them out.
There are some upcoming events I will be attending with my products:
On Saturday, October 5 I will be at the Kentville Harvest Festival Kickoff with Tammy from Cape View Farms. We’ll be set up in Centre Square from 10 AM – 2 PM with lots of other great activities going on. Bring the whole family and check out the fun. I’ll have some new fall scented sugar scrubs, Halloween shaped soaps, adorable pumpkin and apple hats and lots more! And yes, I’ll have lots of my Kick-Ass Sweet Relish!
Beginning Saturday, October 26, you can find Amy’s Kick-Ass Creations at the Wolfville Farmers’ Market with Cape View Farms from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
I’ve also had an inquiry from a local business who is interested in carrying some of my products. I’ll definitely post more once I can confirm what products will be available and when. I’m so excited!
Thanks to my faithful followers and new customers for your belief in supporting local businesses with locally made products!
Saturday, August 17 is an exciting day for me! I’ll be set up at Helping Hannah’s Hodge Podge Market in Port Williams, introducing my products to the world. Come find me (alongside Cape View Farms) at 1057 Main Street, Highway 358 from 9-4!
